What alerts allow. Good Codes checks the address of each site you visit against its list of shops, on your computer. Only listed shops' names are ever sent, when you're at their checkout. It shows a small banner on those shops' cart and checkout pages, and never reads the page. Chrome's permission prompt sounds broader than this; the code is public if you want to check.
Without alerts it can't see the sites you visit at all. The icon still turns green on shops with codes; click it to see them.
Free while we test it. We'll probably charge later, most likely a small fee. We'll ask first; nobody gets charged without agreeing. If it saves you something, you can buy us a coffee.
Affiliate links. Good Codes never touches them, so the creator who sent you to a shop still gets paid.
